I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.

I'm an independent ICT professional with a passion for people. I believe that the right applications can bring immense improvements to your business. But in many companies, especially SME's, ICT is treated as a necessary evil. This is usually caused by lack of time, lack of knowledge and/or lack of budget. As a consequence, things often go wrong at the worst possible moment (Murphy was an optimist), causing frustration and loss of productivity.

The journey
Real life started by going to university... Almost immediately I realised that I needed more than academic theory to develop myself and to be challenged. That's why I joined AIESEC, the world's largest international student association.

I held several positions at AIESEC UFSIA. In 1997-1998 I was part of the National Trainers Team, after which I returned to AIESEC UFSIA to become the President 1998-1999. During this very successful year, in which my team built a strong committee from the ground up, I was elected National President of AIESEC Belgium for the 1999-2000 term. In this position, my crisis management skills were tested once again, since I needed to rebuild the entire organisation after the disastrous year 1998-1999. To this day, I keep on contributing to the organisation as a member of AIESEC UA's Board of Advisors.

In February 2001, I joined ETM International's Management Team. I contributed to professionalising this start-up and developing its business. ETM Int'l was a B2B e-business company, specialising in J2EE applications.

From 2002 onwards, I started working on freelance assignments and independent projects:
* Management, development and marketing of web applications
* Development of HTML course
* Global Entrepreneurs: marketing research and sales pioneering for internationalisation projects
* Mobile voice and data consulting

I believe:
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life.
